Model Overview

A little beauty, this Mercury is a traditional short-scale parlour model. With the neck joining the body at the 12th fret - rather than the 14th - the strings are held at a slightly lower tension than on regular models. Another implication of the 12th fret join is that the bridge is shifted further from the soundhole.

These features result in a guitar that is physically easier to play, sounds much bigger than you would imagine and is also simple to handle and transport

Faith Natural series were the very first style of Faith Guitar, and are a classic combination of Spruce and Mahogany

Using high grade Englemann Spruce for the top and satin finished Mahogany for the back and sides, Natural models feature solid Ebony binding and Macassan Ebony for the fingerboard, bridge, headplate and heelcap. Tonally, this combination of wood is generally warm, sweet and mellow, delivering an overall balanced tone.

"Superb build quality and finish with solid tone woods. Wanted a parlour to complement my Gibson J200. The Faith Mercury Natural is a true work of art and visually one of the best guitars I've owned. The sound and resonance is unbelievable. Superb action straight out of the case. Simply superb!!"

"It is a beautiful thing, although diamonds on the fingerboard rather than the faith logo are a little strange."

"Lovely tone & suprisingly loud for a small body guitar. Very nicely made. Action seems a little high but I'll be fitting lighter strings which may help. Certainly the best parlour guitar I've played in this price range."

"This is an absolutely fabulous guitar! My other acoustic is a Lowden S25c, so is a considerable yard stick to measure it against. Very well set-up, incredible tone which can only get better and a lovely short scale to give my fingerstyle hands a break. I'd done a lot of research before purchasing the Mercury Natural and now would not hesitate recommending to anyone"

"I am 64 and have played many guitars in the last 40-odd years. Never before have I seen such finish and quality straight out of the box (beautifully packed by music scotland by the way). On changing the strings for my favourite Elixir strings I came across my only slight problem. The lovely ebony bridge pins are too loose and the inner ends are not tapered as they should be, with the consequence that they pop out too readily.
As for the sound and playability, it is absolutely wonderful and although I did my research before buying I was nervous still. I needn't have been. Thank you Faith - nice work.
"
