Model Overview

This model is no longer supplied in the UK and Europe, although there may still be instruments available in the marketplace.

Based upon the Patrick James Eggle 'Kanuga' model, this Mars is a classic drop-shoulder dreadnought design. Tonally a great all-rounder, the Mars attracts the player with an eye and ear for tradition.

Faith All-Mahogany models deliver a clear, linear tone which is very sweet and woody with plenty of midrange.

Using Mahogany for both the top and body of a guitar makes for a very “friendly” instrument that responds well to hard picking, strumming and finger-style techniques alike. Further to this, the sound produced is unburdened by overly audible overtones and harmonics, so they perform brilliantly when recording.

"A really nice guitar with a rather chunky neck. Only played it a couple of hours but the sound is big, seem to answer well when you give it some harder playing with a pick but also sounds good in fingerstyle. Nice case included also. Made in 2015 so it's almost NOS (new old stock)! "

"I bought this second hand in very good condition. I believe it is a 2013 model . The guitar has no pickup. The wood has aged nicely and the tusc nut and bridge have aged to compliment it. The sound is warm and very sonic,it projects well. "

"I've got a very old Faith Jupiter that has improved year on year and I thought I might like a second Faith to fall in love with. With my new Faith Mars it was love at first sight. Now it just needs some playing-in which I'm sure it will get. "

"It is a beautiful guitar that sounds great though I do wish the string spacing was more even. I can't yet tell if it is because the original grooves in the saddle were set improperly or if there a problem with the bridge pin spacing. I've "reset" the strings on the saddle; i'll see how this holds up..."

"Very good guitar, solid woods, excellent neck action."

"In a word, beautiful. It is my first left hand and all solid wood guitar after playing right handed guitars for years. I was in awe of this guitar the moment my eyes gazed upon it, i thought "do i play this or put it in a display cabinet" that was the impact i felt of the sheer beauty and craftmanship of this guitar. I of course was eager to hear how it sounded and after strumming an E chord it really was heavenly. The set-up and playability is terrific and could not ask for more sweeter tone."

"Eine sehr schn verarbeitete Gitarre mit einem schnen warmen und mittenbetontem Klang! Genau so habe ich mir eine massive Mahagoni Gitarre klanglich vorgestellt! Das Aussehen und die Verarbeitung sehr edel und hochwertig in der Preisklasse. Saitenlage ist optimal fr mich eingestellt! Beim ersten Anspielen "Gnsehaut"! Ich bin begeistert !"

"Guitar sounds a tad bright, but that's most likely due to the strings (mine came with 80/20s, will change to phosphor bronze). Also, it has not been set up very well. Otherwise, I'm very happy with this purchase. Looks and sounds great, and is a quality instrument."
