We're pretty chuffed to have Max and the Quail-men on board with Faith Guitars. Again, proving that every indie/rock band needs acoustic power too. How else can you prove your musical credentials if not by doing a good few unplugged sets, eh??
Devon's produced some pretty major acts in recent years – Joss Stone, Coldplay, Seth Lakeman, and of course Muse. Now, fronted by charismatic singer/songwriter Dan Steer, a new band has emerged from this fertile artistic land, namely The Quails.
The Quails have been honing their talents for a couple of years and are now ready to take things to a higher level with the release of their superb album "I've Heard it's all Rumours". Killers meet Kasabian, Kooks meet Kaiser Chiefs (how many more bands can we think of beginning with K?). But the Quails have their own unique sound. A superb live band, they are now drawing crowds of thousands in their native South Devon. Their quirky, catchy and predominantly danceable tunes are a melodic fusion of Indie-Rock and Pop. Lyrics and melodies are penned by lead singer Dan Steer and further developed by the other four band members into a cohesive end product. Lyrically the songs are engaging and express sentiments and experiences which transcend the generations. Musically they are dynamic and impressive and their live performances draw the audience in from the onset.
